These classes will teach your child techniques of defence, and build body positivity and fitness through functional movement.
Each lesson is created to help your child develop through perseverance, determination, courage, and self-control, and to develop a strong ability to think tactically.
Sessions incorporate fundamental fitness techniques in an interactive, fun setting to make it impactful and long-lasting.
Coaches are qualified in Jiu Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, and Functional Fitness/Physical education.
Tuesday at 3:30pm (7 - 10 years)
Saturdays at 8am (11 - 16 years)
Sessions will cover:
Focus on body form and breathing
Distance management (keeping a safe distance between you and the attacker/person)/aware of surroundings
Blocking system (Defending strikes and impact)
Slip and weave (Counter defending strikes)
Learn to break falls & prevent injury
Movement and speed training (DodgeBall / Footwork in boxing and kickboxing/Skipping technique)
Strength Training & Conditioning
Boxing Coordination (Hand movement)
Team training (Working together vs individually)
Functional fitness (BoxFit)
Grappling/Wrestling
